Hello again everyone and as always thank you for checking out our Bodyfit news letter.  I am really excited about this months news letter because we are announcing Bodyfit’s all new 30 day Transformation package starting on the 24th of this month!!  Now I won’t be giving the exact details of what the package includes and exactly how it works, for  that you will have to go to the link on our web page which most of you are already on.  However the basic concept we have developed an affordable package that includes ALL of the key pieces of a proper fitness program.  The reason for the word all being capitalized in the previous sentence is because the number one reason the Bodyfit staff have seen our members progress toward there fitness goals never fully reached is usually always do to one or two parts of the fitness puzzle missing from there program!!  This package has been totally developed around solving this issue for our members. To prove the potential success of this program both myself and Angela are going to be going through the program documenting progress and taking photo’s for all of you to see!!  Now for some of you I am sure this may seem a bit unfair to use us as examples since we already know how to make a lot of these changes and have done so in the past and that’s a fair.  What is also fair is to remember that we have struggles, problems and scheduling conflicts just like the rest of the world.  We have 4 children that range in ages from 9 all the way down to new born who love to keep our house stocked with junk food and things that no one trying to make any physical changes should be within 50 miles of LOL.  On top of this we both work full time and have all the normal responsibilities you all have of making sure bills are paid food is on the table and in our world most importantly making sure that all of our amazingly wonderful members are taken care of.  At the end of the day we are all made of the same stuff physically and have the potential to reach our fitness goals and for most can exceed them !!  As always thank you for checking out our news letter and be sure to follow the Bodyfit 30 day transformation link as we make our way through these next 30 days!!

~Angela’s Corner ~

 It’s hard to believe that only 10.5 weeks ago little Xander Paul was born.  To me and my body it feels like way longer then that.  As someone who has always been in shape and probably the worst body dismorphic disorder issues this time around I am having the issues.  Mentally they are my issues, and this is the way that I am.  I am that hard on myself.  I have taken this challenge by the horns though to show you women out there who are still claiming that they need to lose they “baby weight” from 7 years ago, lol.  I want to show you that if you put your mind to it and do it right that “yes, it can be done!”
Like I’ve always said “Abs are made in the kitchen” I am holding true to that.  Ladies I can’t tell you how many times I have explained to people that you can NOT SPOT REDUCE!!  It is just something that no matter how many sit ups you do it’s not going away!  Your DIET is 80% of how you look and putting it together the right way is how to get that “look” that you want!  Not everyone will react the same to a specific diet which is why we are trying to implement a better more healthy approach to eating and not a “diet” per say.
As I have aged from growing up where our food was in our back yard and we ate all of our veggies from our garden and eggs from our chickens and meat from our cows that we had on the farm I will say that food is BY FAR way different then it use to be.  The nutrients are definitely not there like they use to be so I can’t stress enough how important a good multi-vitamin is.  These One-A-Day’s and Centrum’s ladies and gentlemen are not cutting it!  They are bound together with glues and fillers and are the number one vitamins found in public restroom sewers!  They do not totally dissolve in your system making it so you do not absorb all of the vitamins and minerals that your body needs from the lack of what we get in our foods.  Our soil these days is so overturned that all of the vitamins and minerals are not what they use to be.  Look, I’m not trying to say buy our vitamins but just take a look at what you are putting in your bodies and know that you are wasting your money with some of the things you are taking.  I have been in the fitness industry for a very long time and have seen a lot of things.  I do research almost everyday so I can keep up on the latest and greatest program for my clients.  If one thing isn’t working for someone I’m not giving up, there are plenty other ways out there to go about doing things so that they can get their results. The weight didn’t come on overnight and it’s not going to come off overnight.  There is no miracle pill or magic potion just plain old “time and patience” which is they key to your goals and for me time and patience is the hardest.
I know what I have to do and Dean and I want to be a walking billboard for all of our members even if it means putting up a gosh awful picture of me now to show how we can do it and that there is hope for all of you who have wanted to give up.
I am by no means where I want to be and not happy with how I look, I do realize that I just had a baby but for me that’s no excuse.  I just like all of you have a very busy schedule from 4 kids, training clients as early as 5:30am, cleaning my house, preparing food for the week for Dean and I, cooking for the 4 kids which some of the time is not what we eat, taking care of 2 huge dogs and making sure I can workout somewhere in there. I am very hard on myself but I know what I have to do to get back there and ladies I will admit, it’s not easy but the journey is worth it and so are the results!!

Member of the Month  

My wife, Natalie, works as a Barre instructor at Bodyfit and she kept telling me about a TRX class and wanted me to try.  It was a little over 1 year ago when I stopped in Bodyfit to try that first TRX class with 2 friends and became instantly hooked.  Angela took pride in kicking the butts of 3 guys to the point that walking down the stairs to the parking lot hurt, and day two was even worse!  I have always led an active life working out and playing men’s hockey 1-2 times per week; however, I had reached a point where I felt like I was going through the motions.  I was simply hitting the gym before work “just to go” and not seeing any benefit or results.  I was bored and had reached a plateau.  With that very first TRX class, I knew that this was the exact type of activity I desired.   I continued to take more TRX classes with the passion growing each week and with the newly formed Men’s group meeting Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00-10:00 pm I was mentally and physically changing.  In this type of environment, friendly competition was the key in helping to push myself further and further.  My goals are slightly different than many members in the fact that I requested to gain 10-15 pounds while maintaining or dropping my body fat composition.  I worked with Dean on developing a diet plan after he looked at my meal journal for a few days.   At first glance I thought there was no way I could physically eat that much in one day or sitting!  I quickly learned that eating 5 normalized portions throughout the day was not only feasible, but actually helped to burn fat.  Thus far, I have gained 11 pounds and dropped my bodyfat composition by 2 percent.  I feel that this is the best shape (physically and mentally) I have ever been.  I look forward to every session at Bodyfit and have never felt close to reaching a plateau or becoming bored.  This is attributed completely to the efforts of Dean, Angela, and the entire staff at Bodyfit who push each member through positive encouragement to exceed your goals and expectations.  Bodyfit truly makes you feel part of a “family” and for that I am truly grateful to all the Bodyfit staff and Bodyfit members that make each workout challenging and enjoyable.
